2 Timothy 2:15

I really like today's verse, partly because it's a call to obedience, and for me it's something I have to remind myself daily. Who I claim I am following, and what does that mean for my life. Now we know that purely by our works we are not saved. It's directly because of Jesus Sacrifice that we are forgiven of our sin. However the word of God was given to us to realize that truth, and for us to see the character of God by how Jesus lived and breathed on earth. Why wouldn't we want to emulate this man who sacrificed all for us. Not out of obligation, but out of honor and love for what He did for us. It comes down to our hearts, are we chasing down Jesus.
